Life Happens! Sometimes we have scars that accommodate fond memories or sometimes events we’d rather not remember. Of these scars, some are larger and some are so small they are nearly imperceptible. However large or small, patients often report feeling disfigured by the scars on their face at a much higher rate than those on the rest of the body. Dr. Green has lectured on this topic at national meetings and feels that the stigma associated with facial scarring can have a significant impact on an individual’s life in many cases. The good news is that in a majority of these cases the scars can be improved with some effort and the use of special techniques such as autogenous fat transfer and CO2 laser resurfacing. By completing a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Green has specific training in treating the scars of the face to provide an optimized aesthetic outcome.
